These two-piece earrings (reminiscent of viking shields) were created from solid copper sheet and then pattern textured using a rolling mill.  Further embelishment was created using a small dapping tool and each disc was slightly domed.  Hand forged copper earwires were added and the earrings were oxidized, buffed and polished for that rustic look. The metal was sealed with jeweler's wax to preserve the patina and resist tarnishing.
Approximate size: 6.2 cm long (from piercing) x 2.8 cm wide (2 1/2" long x 1 1/8" wide).
