These simple shield shaped earrings were created from solid copper sheet and then textured using a hammer and domed slightly for a 3D appearance.  Each hangs from a hand cut and soldered copper ring.  Hand forged copper earwires were added and the earrings were oxidized, buffed and polished for that rustic look. The metal was sealed with jeweler's wax to preserve the patina and resist tarnishing.
